Coming to the end... and a new beginning.

Well, the semester is almost over. Just one more week! I hope everyone enjoyed improving your vocabulary and English skills by using the Internet. I also hope you had fun writing your blogs! I hope you will continue writing them after this class is over, too. It will be good practice for you, and a fun way to keep in touch after you graduate. Of course, you can send e-mail, too. I'm sure many of you will go on to do exciting things in the future (I hope you all will!) and I look forward to hearing about them.

Good luck on all your final exams, reports, and other end-of-the-semester work, and happy graduation! (You ARE all graduating, right?! Right?!)

It may be the end of your time here at Kokusai Junior College, but I hope for all of you it is the beginning of a new and exciting adventure.

Happy New Year!

Welcome back, everybody, and Happy Year of the Tiger!

I hope you had a good break. Just about another month to go, now. I had my first New Year in Japan since 1999-2000. I stayed in Tokyo and did traditional things: eating buckwheat noodles on New Year's Eve, visiting Shinto shrines at midnight, eating traditional New-Year foods in lacquered boxes... I like New Year's time in Japan -- it's very peaceful and quiet, like Christmas in the U.S.

How did you spend your holidays?
